Tell Me Again That Jesus Loves Me

Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so. God loves me, but I need to hear it again. I need to hear it again because the waves of trouble are too loud for me. I need to hear it again because the world shouts a different story. I need to hear it again because of my own depravity. I need to hear it again because I looked in the mirror and felt less than beautiful. I need to hear it again because Your Love Lord, is the best and deepest love there is.

Jesus loves me. 20 Verses about God's love for us.

  1. John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
  2. Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
  3. Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God. who loved me and gave himself for me.
  4. Ephesians 2:4-5 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—
  5. 1 John 4:9-11 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
  6. Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.
  7. 1 John 4:7-8  Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.  Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
  8. Psalm 86:15 But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.

Word of 2016: JOY

Total honesty coming out right now, I have been depressed. I know some of it has to do with my hormonal imbalances with my hypothyroidism and PCOS. I know some of it has to do with the trouble my marriage encountered in 2015. Some of the depression I can’t explain. I do know that I hate the person I become when I am feeling depressed. I shut people out, including those in my family and church. I don’t go out with friends. I don’t do the things I enjoy like going to the beach and crafts. I know that is not the life God wants for me. Jesus said,  “The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. I want a joyful life.

Word of 2016: JOY

I am not making resolutions/goals this year. I want to concentrate on JOY! Rediscovering the joy of my salvation, finding joy in friendships (hopefully finding new ones since I have few friends), finding joy in my marriage, finding joy in my health and body image, and finding joy in the small moments that make life awesome! Continue Reading

Ways to Show Thankfulness: More than on Facebook

Have you seen the posts yet? I am sure you have. It is the middle of November and people are flooding Facebook with things they are thankful for. I understand it is customary to do this, but what if we jumped off social media and really showed our thankfulness to the world. I mean, I could say I am thankful for my salvation in Jesus, but if I never share my faith am I really showing an attitude of thankfulness. I could I am thankful for my husband, but if I don’t show him kindness I am don’t think I am being very thankful.

Ways to Show Thankfulness

Show you are thankful for
