A subject that is near and dear to my heart is Human Trafficking. I first became aware of what is was when I was at work and I meet my first victim. She told me her story and I was so torn inside. It was a sad story and yet she was a strong women and was successful in helping family with similar issues. After that encounter I just could not seem to get enough information but it was hard to come by, there just was not a lot of information. I went to a pastors conference with my husband and it delighted me that an organization was there called Destiny Rescue. Sometimes the Church does not want to talk about some of the ugliest thing that are happening in our sinful world. I was so thankful that this conference was shining the light on the darkness of human trafficking.

I was delighted to hear two of my favorite organizations are working together on helping the victims of human trafficking. And you can help by just shopping and it is just in time for Christmas.
It has been about 5 years since I met that first girl and I am so glad that God put her into my life. The center that she works at has opened my eyes to many things I was so blind to before.
