Book Summary

The 30 Day Marriage Challenge: Accepting the challenge to make your marriage better in one month is a book that will strengthen your marriage. Each day a challenge is given that will help revive and grow the love in very practical ways. Though the title suggests 30 days, each of the challenges are things we should be doing all the time. Having a wonderful, intimate marriage is sometimes difficult; the 30 Day Marriage Challenge is a book that gives you some great practical tips. Along the way, it helps make the reader a better person.

My Thoughts

I am about half way through the challenges and I am a having so much fun with them. Right now my husband and I get very little time to spend together between his 2 jobs, clinicals, and studying. Having these challenges is helping me make the time that we have together count for something good.

Here are some of the challenges and the things that I did:

Challenge 1- Compliment Your Spouse

  • I complimented my husband on his work effort and his grades, specifically his latest quiz grades. I bragged on him. It made him feel good and made our evening really nice.

Challenge 3- Kiss

  •  I decided to wait at the door for him and surprised him with a kiss as soon as he entered the door. Needless to say, that kiss ignited and we finished off in the bedroom. 😉

Challenge 7- Go on a Date

  • Right now I only get to see my husband about an hour or less per day, but I have a semi-date planned for Valentines Day. It is one at home and I am going to make him a special dinner and we are going to watch a movie. No distractions will be there.

Those are just a couple of the challenges. I have skipped ahead in the book and love how deep the challenges get your marriage and how God-centered they are. Without God, a marriage simply won’t be as good. At the end of the book Becky asks evaluation questions.

The 30 Day Marriage Challenge Book by Becky Moseley is a great read for any married couple, whether you have been married 2 days or 20 years. Redoing the challenges will ingrain these Christlike marriage principles into your life.  I know that in the short time I have had the book, it has improved my marriage!
