If you like to talk to tomatoes
If a squash can make you smile
If you like to waltz with potatoes
Up and down the produce aisle…

If you just sung that, then you are probably a Veggie Tales fan. What is not to love about Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber. Veggie Tales are cute, funny, and teach wonderful lessons about God’s love and forgiveness. Though Veggie Tales are geared towards children, it is enjoyed by parents as well. Veggie Tales just released a new feature called Celery Night Fever. I was able to preview this video and enjoyed it a lot.

Celery Night Fever is about a 70’s music band that broke up. It is up to Laura to help get them back together so they can have a concert to raise money. Someone bought the community park and wants to make it into a parking lot. Laura is hoping the money raised will buy back the park. Can the band members forgive each other for what happened in the past?

This video is filled with fun music from different genres. My favorite song has to be the silly song. I LOVE all the silly songs Veggie Tales has done, but this silly song sneaks in a great message. Larry wants a puppy, a perfect puppy. It is a super cute song that ends up promoting rescuing a pet through adoption.

Forgiveness is the main theme of the feature. I love how the video can influence children and adults.  The band must forgive each other for something that happened in the 70’s. That is a long time to hold onto a grudge. I had to think about my life and if there is someone I need to forgive that I maybe I haven’t. Sometimes we think forgiveness is only meant for the hear and now, but friendships past are lost all the time.

I give this video 4.5/5 stars.  The story and animation are great! The music is good. A couple of the songs I did not care for.  One song was pretty techno and annoying. One song I liked but was too grunge in my opinion for a children’s cartoon. If you are a Veggie Tales fan, this is a must-have for your collection. If you are not a Veggie Tales fan- why aren’t you?!?! [su_button url=”″ rel=”nofollow”]Buy Now on Amazon[/su_button]
